“May the God of
endurance and encouragement grant you to
live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice
glorify the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you,
for the glory of God.” Romans 15:5-7
Beloved,
I have felt so
encouraged this week to be your pastor.
First of all, thank you for all the birthday wishes and for all who
attended the Surprise Party this past Sunday night. It was a huge blessing to
me and I was humbled by your love and generosity. I truly feel honored to be
the pastor of Park Baptist Church.
I also was so
encouraged by the church participation in our Come See Me outreach this past
Friday night.
It truly took the entire church
rallying together to make the outreach possible. Thank you to all for bringing bottles of
water that we were able to pass out. Thank you to all for the candy that was
placed in the children’s bags. Thank you to all for all the prayers offered up
to God on behalf of this outreach. Thank
you to all who came and handed out the water and candy. It was beautiful to see our church come
“together with one voice to glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ.” We welcomed one another as
Christ has welcomed us for the glory of God.
Thank you for
your generosity and love expressed this past week. What a beautiful display of God’s
glory!! Continue to pray that God would
grant us favor as we follow up on all the contacts made during this Come See Me
outreach. We talked to many people who
do not have church families and we pray that they would make a home with
us. Pray that God would move in His
Spirit to call them to Park Baptist Church.
And may we continue to look to the God of endurance and encouragement
so that we may live in harmony with one another in accord with Christ
Jesus. Jesus Christ has welcomed us into
the family of God so let us welcome those who will enter our family at Park. Praise God for how He is moving among us!!!
Your Grateful Servant in Christ,
Pastor Dave
